Privacy Policy

Nomad Helper is an independent research service for finding first-hand experiences with Spain's digital nomad visa in Telegram chats an authenticated user is authorized to access. It is not affiliated with Telegram and does not make the authorized corpus public.
1. Who operates the service
Nomad Helper is operated by ALEKSEI KURYLEV. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to django.iintensive@gmail.com.
2. Data we process
- Account data: username, email address when provided, access status, and the corpus owner associated with an account.
- Authorization data: OAuth client identifiers, granted scopes, token checksums, expiration and revocation records. Raw passwords are not returned to ChatGPT or Codex.
- Research requests: questions, generated search terms, selected chats and date filters, results, answers, source links, status, timestamps, and token or cost usage.
- Telegram corpus data: authorized chat identifiers and titles, message text, dates, message and sender identifiers, links, reply relationships, view or forward counts, and media-presence metadata.
- Technical data: security, diagnostic, abuse-prevention, and service logs such as request time, IP-derived security signals, and error details.
3. Where data comes from
Data comes from the user, the corpus owner who grants access, Telegram through an authorized server-side session, and the OpenAI product through which the user invokes the MCP tools.
4. How we use data
- Authenticate users and enforce corpus-level authorization.
- Start fresh Telegram searches, rank matching messages, and produce evidence-based research answers.
- Return relevant source excerpts and Telegram message links to the requesting user.
- Apply usage limits, maintain reliability, investigate errors, and prevent abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect users, the service, and third parties.
5. AI processing and service providers
Research questions and relevant Telegram message excerpts are sent to OpenAI services to select search probes and generate the final analysis. Data may also be processed by infrastructure, database, monitoring, security, and communications providers used to operate Nomad Helper. These providers receive only the data needed to perform their services and are subject to applicable contractual and security obligations.
When Nomad Helper is used through ChatGPT or Codex, OpenAI separately processes the conversation and tool traffic under the terms and privacy settings applicable to the user's OpenAI account.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We disclose data only to authorized users of the relevant corpus, service providers acting on our behalf, or authorities and other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety. A corpus owner may authorize multiple accounts to search the same private corpus.
7. Retention
Account access, indexed messages, research history, and generated analyses are retained while needed to provide the service, preserve source traceability, enforce limits, and maintain security, unless the corpus owner or applicable law requires earlier deletion. OAuth access records expire or are revoked according to their authorization lifecycle. Backup and security records may persist for a limited additional period.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, scoped OAuth authorization, PKCE, access checks, token hashing, rate limits, and restricted corpus ownership to protect the service. No system is completely secure, so users should avoid submitting secrets that are not necessary for the research request.
9. Your choices and rights
Users may disconnect Nomad Helper in their OpenAI app settings and may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or export where applicable. Corpus-level deletion or access changes may require confirmation from the corpus owner. We may retain limited information when legally required or necessary for security and dispute resolution.
10. International processing
Service providers may process data outside the user's country. Where required, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms and appropriate safeguards.
11. Children
Nomad Helper is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly provide accounts to them.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated where required.
13. Contact
Email privacy and data requests to django.iintensive@gmail.com.
